Summer Reading 2020 @ HMPL:

Children Summer Reading Imagine Your Story Banner with logos Opens in new window

This year’s theme is Imagine Your Story and what a story we will have to tell loved ones and friends in the future.  There are so many stories to read, write and tell!  Summer reading 2020 may not be like any other; however, exploring books, learning new things and accepting new challenges will always be important.

Our library is currently closed, but nothing can stop our Summer Reading program!  Sign up and track your reading on our new app.  Go to the Google Play Store or the Apple Store on your smart phone or mobile device and search for Beanstack Tracker.  Download the app and search for Howard Miller Public Library to begin your adventure.  People of all ages are invited to participate and all tracking can be done in one convenient location.  Earn badges by reading or participating in our virtual programs and hands on activities.  Our “grab and go” activity bags will be available as soon after we are allowed to provide curbside service, but there are great ways to get started now.  Join us for 10 weeks of fun starting June 1, 2020.  The program may be digital, but the prizes are very real!

To kick off Summer Reading 2020, the musical group The Porters created a very special program that will get you singing and moving to the beat.  Click on this link to access the program .  Did we mention that you can earn badges by participating in virtual programs?

For more information or to get additional help with downloading the Beanstack Tracker app, please contact the library at 616-772-0874.  Staff will answer the phone Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
