COVID-19
An Update from the Library Director:

3/23/20

A Message from the Director

COVID-19 Update, Monday, March 23 @ 5:30 pm

In accordance with Governor Whitmer’s executive order to shelter-in-place, Howard Miller Library and Community Center will remain closed through April 13, 2020. In addition, staff will not be working in the library building at this time and are unable to accept library material returns. We ask that you hold on to any items you currently have at home. You will not be charged any overdue fines and all materials are now due on Monday, April 20, 2020.

I have included a photo of one of our hard working staff members holding a book that was just returned today. We think it provided a moment of levity in these challenging times and we hope it brings a smile to your face as well.

We look forward to the day when we can see all of you face-to-face. Until then, please take care of yourselves and keep watching our Facebook and Instagram pages as well as our website for virtual programming and learning opportunities.

Wishing you wellness and safety,

Heather Wood-Gramza
Director, Howard Miller Library and Community Center
