Welcome to the Howard Miller Library 2020 Summer Reading Program!

From June 1 to August 8, you will be logging the time you read or are read to. As you log your reading time on your account, you will earn virtual badges. You will earn a reading badge each time you read 250 minutesTo finish the Summer Reading Program and get your finisher prize, you will need to earn at least 3 reading badges and 3 additional badges of any kind.

Each time you read or are read to, log your minutes in Beanstack.  When you reach 250 minutes, you will earn a badge.  You can log up to 1,000 minutes of reading time.  Each badge (worth 250 minutes of reading) will earn you a raffle ticket for prize drawings at the end of the summer. In order to receive a finisher prize, you need to read at least 750 minutes. We’d love to see you reach 1,000 minutes of reading time this summer, or about 15 minutes of reading a day.

Every time you earn a reading badge or an activity badge, you will receive a raffle ticket. At the end of the summer, we will draw 100 names for prizes, just like we did weekly with prize drawings in previous years. The more reading and activities you do, the more chances you have to win a raffle prize! Once you have earned at least 3 reading badges and 3 additional badges of any kind, you will earn a completion badge. Come in to the library for your finisher prize! Prizes will be available after July 15.

You can log your reading based on minutes, pages, and title of the book. You can even log for multiple people at once if you all are listening to the same book.

You can review books that you have finished and see your reviews on the homepage of Beanstack. Share why you would recommend that book with others in our community or find your next read by looking through the reviews!
