Board of Constructions Appeals
The 5-member Board of Construction Appeals hears the appeals to requirement(s) of the Building Code, Property Maintenance and Housing Code, Plumbing Code, Electrical Code or Mechanical Code, or an opinion or requirement of the building official.

Board of Public Works Commission
This five member board is responsible for overseeing the operations of the electric generating plant and water distribution systems.

Board of Review
The city's 3-member Board of Review meets approximately 5 times each year to review property assessments, hear assessment appeals and make any needed corrections to the assessment roll.

Board of Zoning Appeals
This 5-member board hears the appeals of those seeking relief from a requirement(s) of the Zoning Ordinance, the order, decision, or opinion of the City Zoning Administrator (the City Assessor/Building Official/Zoning Administrator) or the Planning Commission.

Cemetery & Parks Commission
This seven member board advises City Council on long-range plans and needs for the City's cemeteries.

Library Board
This seven member board recommends long-range policy to City Council regarding library issues. This board also includes a member from Zeeland Charter Township per our library services agreement with the Zeeland Charter Township.

Local Officers Compensation Commission
This five member commission reviews and establishes wages and expenses for elective city offices (mayor and city council).

Nominating Commission
This five member commission selects willing candidates to run for elective city offices (mayor and city council) when nominating petitions have not been filed for twice the number of candidate positions available.
