The Facilities Maintenance Department

The Facilities Maintenance Department is the City’s internal resource for maintenance, capital improvement and all cleaning of City Hall, Roosevelt Fire Station, the Police/Fire/Rescue Building, the Howard Miller Library and Community Center, the Street Maintenance Facility and the Cemetery Building. Department Staff

The department consists of a 5-person staff including one supervisor and one maintenance person during the business day and also one Head Custodian and two part time staff during the evenings.

Most department responsibilities are handled “in house” by staff. Responsibilities include cleaning of all facilities. This can involve everything from dusting surfaces to refinishing floors and carpet machine cleaning. Setting up furniture in five activity rooms for the many different types of activities at the Howard Miller Community Center is another responsibility.
